Smashbook/Scrapbook Swap

Hi Gals,

Well I've stepped out of my box and joined a Smashbook/Scrapbook swap!  EEK!  My partner for the swap likes pink and the cover of this book is PINK!  I used Bo Bunny paper and I'm very pleased with the way it turned out!  This is my first book I've ever done and I want to keep it LOL.  It is something I would love to have so that makes me feel better about giving it to her.  Here are some pictures.  My friend thinks I should do a You Tube video on it but I'm a little leary about that as I have never done one of those either LOL!  I guess I'm just a newbie and need to start exploring new possibilities!  Enough said here are the pictures.

We were only supposed to do some stamping so our partner can decorate as she sees fit.  We only had to decorate the front with our partners likes.  She likes the Shabby Chic/Vintage look.  I hope I captured that!

Leave a comment and let me know what you think!  I love comments :)

Hopefully I will get a scrapbook layout done in the next couple of days and I will post it.

Have an AWESOME day!!!!

My Haul from the Scrapbook Convention Whoo Hoo!!

Hi Gals,

Friday I went to the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Convention in Lancaster, PA.  I was so excited to go!!  I went with my friend and we had a wonderful day!  I spent way to much money at the show and from my friends shop and Michael's! LOL!!  My husband is so awesome he just takes it in stride.

Here are two pictures of what I bought at the convention:

You can't see it but I bought matching card stock for the Secret Garden pack.  The envelopes are all original.  They are so cool and I can't wait to use them.  I bought some flowers but I also ordered from Wild Orchid Craft site and have a whole bunch coming from there!  Hee hee.

Well today I had a 50% coupon from Michael's so I dragged my husband and son so we could each use the coupon and I bought Golden Artist Colors Gesso, Matte Medium and Modeling Paste.  Yup you guessed it I'm going to start doing some mixed media projects!  :)  Then later on in the day I went back (tee hee) and used a 50% coupon and bought Martha Stewart Crafts 10 Satin Paint set!  That was $20 and I got it for $10 and each of the Golden products were $16.00 and I got them for $8.00.

THEN I ordered the 12 x 12 Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells pad as well as 12 x 12 pack of Graphic 45 Ladies Diary AND Bo Bunny's Isabella pack AND We R Memories Envelope Punch from my friend Trinette's store Gypsy Corner!  I've spent so much money in the past two days that I feel sick to my stomach!  All well I'm set for quite a while.  I just have to stay away from all the new stuff coming out!

Hope you all have a AWESOME day!

Sketch N Scrap and Shopping our Stash Challenges

Hi All,
Hope you are having a FABULOUS day.  I made this card last night and I love how it turned out!  I've been wanting to use this stamp sooooo bad and now that it's on a card I think it is even more beautiful!

The two challenges I am entering this card in are Sketch N Scrap  and Shopping Our Stash!  I highly recommend you sign up for the emails and join both of these sites as they have some awesome challenges that really motivate you to craft!

The paper line I used is Bo Bunny's 6x6, Isabella Collection.  The sentiment is a Stampendous stamp.  The challenge for Sketch N Scrap is this image:

The challenge for Shopping our Stash is, what is our weakness when buying supplies and then to make something with it!  Mine is buying 6x6 paper packs!  I just can't help myself when I see one that I don't already have, I HAVE to put it in my cart!  LOL!! :)

Well I hope you enjoyed my card and please head on over to both of these awesome sites and play along!

Dawn :)

Mojo Monday Contest #303

Hi Gals,
Today's post is my entry into Mojo Monday's Card Sketch Challenge #303.  Now mind you I didn't follow the sketch completely because I made a male birthday card.  Here is a copy of the sketch:

And here is a picture of my card.

The 6x6 paper stack I used is called Engraver by Prima.  I typed out the sentiment on my computer using Kraft card stock.  The lines under the sentiment are from a very old Stampin Up set called Perfect Plaids.  I kept this card simple as this is a "Guy" card.

Well I hope you like it and leave a comment if you get a chance.  Oh and by the way I am still giving out Blog Candy as well as some candy from my sponsor Tsunami Rose when I hit 100 subscribers.  Check out my blog for more details.

Talk to you later girls!

A Scrapbook Layout Of The Two Most Important People In My Life!

Hi All, I know it's been a while since I posted but we've had one emergency after the other in my house for the past month in a half!  It seems everything is calming down so now I can get back to crafting!

I did the following layout of my parents using a Heidi Swap stencil.  This is my first stencil project and it definitely won't be my last!

I had so much fun with this layout.  I have really stepped out of my box with this one.

This next one is of my grandson Tristan.

Isn't he cute!  I went really bold with this one and at first I wasn't sure I was going to like it but it was "Go Big or Go Home" LOL!  In the end I guess I'm happy with it.  I would love to embellish more but with boy pictures that is pretty hard to do!

Well it's nice to be back in the saddle again and I hope to post on a regular basis again.  So for now,

TTFN, Hugs
