Happy Birthday

Hi Peeps :)

Today I have two cards for you.  Both are Happy Birthday cards.  The first one is an inspiration from a card I saw on Simon Says Stamp Blog.  Here is a picture of the card:

Isn't it beautiful!  I don't have the stamp set so I used what I have in my stash and this is what I came up with:

The stamp set I used is an old Stampin Up set called Summer Sunflower.  I stamped the flower and the stems and leaves and fussy cut them out and adheared them to sheet music.  I then layered the card with paper from For the Record 2 from Echo Park.  The green layer is from a 12 x 12 pack I had in my stash.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is Recollections.  I guess I need to start decorating the inside of my cards now since everyone else is doing it LOL!  Maybe next time.  Oh the lacy punch is from Martha Stewart.

The second card I did is from Sketch and Scrap Blog here is the sketch:

Ha ha I forgot the ribbon but that's ok I added a doily instead.  They are having a challenge over at Sketch and Scrap.  If you play along with 4 of their challenges this month you will be eligible for a gift certificate!  I'd wish you luck but I want to win!  Just kidding if you enter Good Luck beating me, ha ha.  Just have fun and enter maybe you'll win.  Ok back to business.  I used the Seen and Noted Paper Pad from Pebbles for my paper.  The sentiment is from Cardz TV stamp set "Happy Days".  The doily and sequins are from my stash.
