Happy New Year Everyone :)
Today I am posting my design team project for Crafts Galore Encore
The sponsor for this month's challenge, Anything Goes, is Scrapper's Delights!  Her digi's are adorable and a lot of fun to color.  My digi is called Crafty Honeys Markers.
I used my Prisma Colored pencils to color the image.  I used the 6x6 Fine and Dandy pack by My Mind's Eye. The flowers and ribbons are from my stash.  The sentiment is from a pack of word stamps that I had.
So head on over to Crafts Galore Encore Challenge Blog to enter your project and you will have a chance to win the prize for this month from Scrapper's Delight's.

Crafts Galore Encore Challenge #12, Christmas/Anything Goes

Merry Christmas Everyone :)
This month's challenge for Crafts Galore Encore is a Christmas project or Anything Goes.  The sponsor for this month's challenge is Beccy's Place.  She has the cutest digis and is giving the prize of three images or one set of images to this month's winner!
So get your paper and scissors out and make a card or any kind of project!
Here is my card:
I used white card stock for my base.  I cut an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper to 4 1/4 x 11 and used my bone folder to crease the paper at the 5 1/2 mark that gave me a top folding card.  I then cut the red background patterned paper to 4 x 5 1/4. I then used my Swiss Dots embossing folder with some white card stock and after I embossed it I cut it to 1 1/2 x 4 1/4 and added it to my card.  I used my Spellbinders small ovals and large ovals for the image and blue patterned paper.  The image is from Beccy's Place and it is called Snowy Snowflake.  I colored this adorable image with my Prisma Colored Pencils.  To smooth out the coloring lines I used Odorless Mineral Spirits.  I dipped paper stubs into the mineral spirits and lightly rubbed the colored areas until they were smooth.  To get the color off of your stub just rub it on an emory board or sandpaper and your ready to do your next color.  I used my Wink of Stella pen to add some sparkle to my snowflakes.  The sentiment is from my stash and all I did was stamp it cut it out and notched the edges.  If you have any questions please be sure to ask in the comment section below.
So now it's your turn!  Get your creative juices flowing and make something and add it to the Crafts Galore Encore blog and you could win some of Beccy's awesome digis!
Thanks for stopping by and make it a BEAUTIFUL DAY just by smiling!

This month's challenge is Anything Goes so for my DT project I decided to make these adorable Julie Nutting Paper Dolls.

I used Julie Nutting's 12 x 12 Stencil from Prima.  First I traced all the pieces on chipboard and cut them out.  I then went into my 6x6 paper pads and cut out their outfits and glued them to the chipboard.  The arms and legs move so I added brads.  I traced and cut out the flowers that hold their hands together.  To get that weathered look I wet the paper and scrunched them up in my hand.  The banner does not come with the stencils.  To make the banner I used a Spellbinder to cut out the pennants. To do that I folded old book paper in half and put the die on top and ran it through my Big Shot.  I then used my Sizzix letter dies to cut out the letters and then I glued them onto the pennants.  I thought they needed something else so I took some thin ribbon and added charms to give them each a necklace.  I also put lace on two of the outfits and fringe on the middle doll.  I really enjoyed making them!  I encourage you to get the stencil and give it a try!
The prize for the Crafts Galore Encore challenge this month is from Whoopsie Daisy Digis.

Craft Show at Darlington Apple Festival, Mixed Media Canvases

Hi Peeps :)
Well I'm getting down to the home stretch and I'm getting nervous!  The Darlington Apple Festival is right around the corner and I only have 85 canvases made to date!  Eeeek!  I wanted twice that much because I have another show on the 18th at The Mill 1792 in Pennsylvania.  I will also be leaving some to hang in the boutique there.  I'm praying that I have enough.  Here are some more that I've finished.
This one is a 6x6

Well that's it for now!  Wish me luck.

Mixed media canvases and some exciting news!

Hi Everyone :)
Before I post my new canvases I have some exciting news!  I did a show in Pennsylvania in August at the Stone Mill 1792 and did exceptionally well.  The owner called me the other day and asked me if I would be interested in doing another craft show AND if I would be interested in selling my art work in her boutique!!!  I was so excited I could barley control myself :)  I said I would absolutely love to do that!  They have a bus tour of all of the historic spots in the area up there in November and she informed me that thousands of people will be coming through the shop so that means (hopefully) sales for me and exposure which might lead to more custom work!!!!  I'm so nervous!  I've been working like a crazy woman to get enough canvases made for that as well as the Darlington Apple Festival on October 4 that I'm going to be set up for.  If you live in the area please come out and see me!  I will have tons of canvases for you to look at (I hope LOL).
Well enough chatting here are my most recent canvases:
This one was a custom order that I received at one of my shows.  It is for a baby shower gift. The size is 9x12.

This one is one that I've made before but with different colors.  This one is a 9x12

This is a 16x20 and I also have another one in green.  Ran out of ideas for this size canvas so if you have any PLEASE let me know! :)

This one is an 8x10.  I'm not quite sure I like this one or not lol!

This one is a 9x12.

This is a 9x12.  I was out of ideas so I thought I would just play some and this is what I came up with lol!  I thought maybe a tween would like this.

This one is a 12x24 and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this one.  I might have to make one for myself!

This one I wanted to do something different.  Since blue is not my color I wasn't sure about this one but I really like how it turned out.
Well that's it for me today!  Back to work I go!
Make it a Splendiferous Day!!!

Getting ready for two huge craft shows! More mixed media canvases

Hi Peeps  :)
I hope your not getting bored looking at all of my canvases! LOL!  Eventually I will be doing other things but this is craft show season and I'm still getting ready for more shows.  With that said, here are some more canvases that I've worked on lately.  My favorites are the first two and the last one.  Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think!

I love the colors on this one!  I died all the paper flowers with my Dylusions sprays and the big orange flower I made with material.  Here is the link to the video for the Rosette flower tutorial.

I used the same flower tutorial for the roses on this canvas.

Hope you enjoyed my canvases.  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.  Thank you!
Have a FABULOUS DAY!!!!!

Flowers, flowers and more flowers! Canvas art.

Hello Everyone  :)
I hope this post finds you well and happy!  I'm getting ready for my first huge craft show in October.  For my followers who live in Maryland I will be at the Darlington Apple Festival!  I am sooooo excited!  If you get a chance go to the link I just posted and check it out!  I am so nervous too LOL!  I will be selling my mixed media canvases.  I just bought a TON of canvases and just looking at them I feel overwhelmed.  I do have one show I'm doing in August but from what I understand it is really big as well.  It is in Severna Park, Maryland and it's the Ravens Roost 128 2nd Annual Season Kickoff Craft Fair

So for now I'm in my craft room creating away (oh poor me LOL)!
Without further ado here are 3 more that I've done!

This one is a 12 x 24.  This is my 3rd attempt at doing an abstract the first 2 were epic fails!  I love how this one turned out and I'm kind of sad to sell it as I would love to hang it on my wall!  All well I can always make another one.

This one is a 16 x 20 and I want to keep this one as well LOL!  I drew the vase than covered it with different pieces of paper.  I'm really happy with the way it turned out.  The red/orange clocks, writing and doily on the canvas are dimensional to add some texture.  I think I may make another one because I have some yellow flowers.  Tell me what you think, please.

This one is an 8 x 10.  I had no idea where I was going on this one I just started putting it together and I'm very pleased with the way it turned out!

Well that is it for me today :)  Be sure to check out the links to my upcoming shows and if you live in the area please come out and see me!

Crafts Galore Encore Challenge #8 Anything Goes

Hi All :)
This month's challenge is anything goes at Crafts Galore Encore and this month's sponsor is,
Dis Digi Stamps!  She is offering $12 to spend in her store for the winner of August!
For my Design Team project I went with another one of my canvases.  I had so much fun making this one as I've never made a steam punk canvas before.

I used old book paper for the background some paint, stamps, Glimmer mist and some gelatos.  The clock, gears and bust stand (can't think of the name of it lol) are all Tim Holtz dies.  I used cloth for the dress and some pearls from my stash for the necklace.  The sentiment is also a Tim Holtz stamp which I stamped on old book paper then distressed it with Black Soot and Vintage Photo distress pads.  To get the rusty look on the chipboard gears and clocks I used Vintage Photo and Spiced Marmalade distress pads.
Well head on over to Crafts Galore Encore and take the challenge!  You could win the awesome prize from Dis Digis Stamps!

Make it a WONDERFUL DAY!!!
