Card with Tsunami Rose Paper

Hi All,

Here is the latest card I've made with Tsunami Rose paper.  Here is the link if you would like to purchase this pattern:

6X6 Vintage Digital Scrapbook Paper- "Vintage Rouge" - Black- http://www.zibbet.com/tsunamirose/artwork?artworkId=875425

What I used to make the card is listed below.

The card is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, A2.  I used Recollections card stock from Michael's Craft Store for the all of the pink and green.  The base of the card is pink then I used Tsunami Rose paper for the mat.  I cut a strip of pink and wrapped black ribbon from my stash around it and added black dash lines.  I used Spellbinders small circles to cut out the mat for the sentiment.  The sentiment stamp is Kathy Davis, Inkadinkado.  I embossed the thank you with Stampendous white embossing powder.  The flower is from Imaginisce

Hope you liked my card and please head on over to Tsunami Rose Zibbet shop and check it out, she has some beautiful paper and tags!

Mojo Monday 290 Sketch Challenge Card #2 and a Mother's Day Card

Hi All,

I created this card with the sketch from Mojo Monday http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/.  I liked the sketch so much I decided to make another card.  I searched through my stamps and found the perfect one's.  I will give the descriptions under the picture.  I also created a hand painted Mother's Day card.

The card base is white card stock.  The paper pack I used is called Seen & Noted by Pebbles.  The sentiment also came from the Seen & Noted pack.  The ribbon is from my stash.  The stamps are Stampin Up's A Little Love set.  I've had this set for a long time and this is the first time I've used it!

Here is the Mother's Day card I made.

The card base is Stampin Up but I bought it so long ago I've forgotten the name of it.  The sentiment is from Michael's Craft Store.  I hand stamped each flower and leaves then water colored them and the background.  The flower on the top middle I fussy cut and popped up for some dimension.  I then used Cotton Candy Stickles for the centers of the flowers.

I hope you enjoyed my cards.  Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Have a FANTASTIC Day!!!

Mojo Monday 290 Sketch Challenge

Hello, first I want to thank you for stopping by my blog!  This is the card I made for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/

I used Kraft card stock for the base of the card.  The paper pack I used is Graphic 45 French Country.  The mat was a solid color from the pack and I added the music notes to give it some definition.  The stamps are from Stampendous Charm Collection which I bought at Michael's Craft Store.  The sentiment was stamped with Hero Arts Small Greetings.  The ink I used for the music notes is Close to My Heart Sunflower stamp pad.  The sentiment and charms were stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa.  The brad came from Karen Foster Designs Birthstone Brads (July).  The red ribbon came from my stash.

Please leave a comment to let me know what you think!

Have a FABULOUS Day!!!

Tsunami Rose Challenge 17: Color Challenge

Hi All,

Here is my Design Team project for Tsunami Rose Challenge #17.  This card was made with Yesterday's Commodity paper pack.  If you have a chance head on over to Tsunami Rose Facebook page and take the challenge yourself, you could win some cool prizes!  At the bottom of this post is all the links you need to find the Tsunami Rose Zibbit shop to order some of her gorgeous paper and Facebook page.

This is a standard A2 card. I used cream colored card stock for the base and the sentiment.  The sentiment came from Hero Arts Petite Messages.  The embellishments at the bottom of the right side corner came from Creative Memories.  I tied some seam binding that was died cream around the rectangle to balance out the embellishments.

Hope you liked the card.  Leave a comment and join my blog if you like my work.

Hope you have a FABULOUS day!

Some new fun cards

Hello Friends,

I have sooooo many stamps that I just never use so I decided to go into the drawers that I have them in and grab out a set at a time.  Here is some of the cards I've made with them.  I also got out my water colors and did some painting (something I haven't done in a while)!  I really enjoyed making the first two clean and simple cards.

The base of the Hoppy Birthday card is made with white card stock as well as the circle I cut with Spellbinders Small Circles.  The sentiment, frog and dragonfly is stamped with Stampin Up Unfrogettable stamp set.  I water colored the frog and dragonfly with Stampin Up Water Color Crayons.  The paper I used for the mat came from Jillibean Soup, Neapolitan Bean Bisque 6x6 mini pad.  This is a standard A2 card 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.

I used white card stock for the base of the card.  The sentiment and flower were stamped with Stampin Up Friendship Blooms.  I water colored the petals and used a pink Marvy Brush Marker to color the stamp itself to get the inside petals pink.  I can't remember what paper pad I used for the mat.  I cut the circle with Spellbinders Small Circles.  I traced the outside of the circle die to get the red mat under the flower circle.

I've used this card pattern in an earlier post but I liked it so much I wanted to use it with my Cuttlebug embossing mat.  I don't remember the name of the embossing mat.  The paper used is from Graphic 45 French Country 6x6 paper pad.  The sentiment is stamped with Stampin Up set that I don't have the name for.

I am going to be making more cards and my next Tsunami Rose DT project today so you might see another post today!  LOL.

Hope you have an AWESOME day!!

Tsunami Rose Challenge 16: Tic Tac Toe Challenge

Hi My Friends,

I have made a card for this challenge.  I really enjoyed using this paper because it is not what I would normally use.  I had to step out of my box!  I am very pleased with the simple design.  This will make an awesome male birthday card.

For the base of the card I used Kraft card stock.  I then layered Tim Holtz Kraft-Core Nostalgic Collection card stock then put another piece of Kraft card stock on top.  I distressed the edges of the layers but on the top layer of Kraft card stock I distressed the whole piece with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distress stamp pads.  I then took Tsunami Rose Discarded Ephemera Paper Pack and distressed  each strip with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo.  Then the challenge was something crumpled, which I did for the first and second strips of paper, then use the grunge paper and the last box was something torn which I did for the middle strip.  I then took some hemp twine and wrapped it around the top mat and tied it in a knot.  The sentiment comes from an old Stampin Up stamp set but I don't have the name for it.  Sorry.

Please head on over to Tsunami Rose web sites listed below and check out her awesome papers and take the challenge!

Hope you all have an awesome day!

Mojo Monday #288

Hi Again,

This is a card I made using the sketch found on Mojo Monday, here is the website http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/  I enjoy the challenges they have every Monday.  Today is the first day in months that I have been able to do one.

I used a basic white card stock for the base.  I used grey card stock for the mat.  I embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder, I don't know the name.  The paper I used for the flag strips is from the My Mind's Eye 6x6 paper pad called Breeze.  I just love the yellow's and grey.  The flower stamp is one that I had in my stash.  I used Spellbinders Large Octagons to cut out the image of my flower.  I used Stampin Up watercolor crayons to color the flower stamp.  The sentiment is from the Cardz TV Stamps set Heartfelt Wishes.  Here is the website for those stamps http://www.cardsztvstamps.blogspot.com .  Now I'm off to make dinner.  Hope you have a wonderful evening!
